Meet Velvet! This beautiful black Boxer mix recently came to FDHS as a stray and, unfortunately, was never reclaimed by her previous family.

Velvet is still pretty new around here and settling in, but we think we’ve already got a pretty good idea of what kind of girl she is! She has the SWEETEST personality and has already claimed the title of Queen of the WiggleButts. She’s happy, well-mannered, and always ready to have a good time!

Velvet does phenomenal about keeping a clean kennel and has been wonderfully non-destructive with her blankets and stuffed animals. She could use a little brushing up on her leash manners, but otherwise, she’s been a very polite lady. She’s shown interest in making friends with the other shelter dogs, although we haven’t tested her with cats yet.
And the humans? Velvet has been an absolute angel baby with every single person she’s met.

She’s still getting settled in, but so far, Velvet is proving to be one pretty fabulous girl who we think could fit right into all kinds of homes. Now she just needs to find the people who will appreciate all those wiggles as much as we do!
