Hey, I’m Tex!

I’m a big, beautiful Shepherd mix with a blonde coat, goofy energy, and ears that seem to have a mind of their own. One’s doing one thing, the other’s doing something completely different. It keeps things…interesting. I’m a happy guy. Like, really happy. I love people, I love attention, I love meeting new friends… and I’ve never met a stranger I didn’t think was awesome. If you walk past me, there’s a good chance I’ll assume we’re best friends now.

I’m still young, so I’ve got some polishing to do. I can be jumpy when I’m excited, I might get a little mouthy during play, and I’m still figuring out leash manners and how to navigate introductions with other dogs in a way that keeps everyone on the same page. I just get enthusiastic about life and sometimes it spills out faster than my manners can keep up.

But I try hard. I kennel up nicely, I keep my space clean, and I do really well in a fenced yard where I can stretch my legs and show off my zoomies. I’m smart, I’m eager, and I’m always ready to engage with whoever is on the other side of the leash.

Mostly, I’m just a big silly pup looking for someone to grow up with. Someone who doesn’t mind a little chaos while I learn, and maybe even laughs at my ear situation while we figure it all out together.
