When Sienna first arrived at FDHS as a stray, the world felt like a pretty big and scary place. Fast forward a few months, and this gorgeous red haired girl has made so much progress.
These days, Sienna has completely won over our staff and has even become friendly with visitors and volunteers. She’s a silly, wiggly girl who just needs a little guidance and encouragement to help her confidence continue to grow. Treats and training go a long way with Sienna, and she thrives when given patience and support.
While she’s come such a long way with socialization, Sienna is still a work in progress. She would do best in a calmer home – ideally with someone who has experience with rescue dogs and can help her become the very best version of herself.
Sienna keeps a tidy kennel and loves spending time out in the fenced yard, though she’s still brushing up on her leash manners. When it comes to other dogs, she can be selective with her friends and has shown some reactivity in the shelter environment. We’re not sure whether that behavior would carry over into a home, but slow, thoughtful introductions will be important.
Sienna has already proven just how much she can blossom with time and love. Now, she’s hoping to find the perfect family to help her write the next chapter.
