Hi, hello humans, yes, it is me, Gilbert!

I am what they call a “hunky little house hippo” (rude, but also accurate), and I am just over a year old, which means I am still VERY much a baby. I may look like I lift weights in my free time, but I actually specialize in being a soft-hearted sweetheart who sometimes gets a little nervous and tinkles.

I was surrendered through no fault of my own, but I am ready to bounce right into my next chapter! I love meeting new people and have lived with kids before, so I am a pretty well-rounded guy, if I do say so myself. I even seem curious about befriending the other animals here at the shelter! I am basically the perfect mix of squishy, friendly, and lovable.
