This is Dimitri, and his story is one that will tug at your heart.

At just one year old, this tiny floof has already been through a lot. He and his brother Ivan recently came into our care from a tough situation. When they first arrived, both boys were absolutely terrified. They hid between the legs of our staff member, shaking with fear, smelling of neglect after being left in their own urine, and covered in fleas. It was clear that they had been through serious neglect, but it was equally clear that they still wanted to trust someone.

Dimitri is the tiniest little marshmallow you could imagine, so small that he rivals the size of a kitten. In fact, he is even smaller than most cats, which makes him the perfect armful of love. When you pick him up, he melts right into you, like he knows that being held is finally safe. His eyes tell his whole story.

Right now, Dimitri is still very timid and taking his time to adjust to all the changes in his life. He is working on potty training and will need a patient and loving home while he gets the hang of things. With some guidance, kindness, and consistency, we know this little angel will blossom.
