Meet Cubone, our big hunky chunk of an American Bulldog!

Cubone recently arrived at FDHS with his mama, Nova, who is also available for adoption. These two were surrendered through no fault of their own, and while Cubone may look like a big tough guy, he is actually just a giant chicken.

Shelter life has been a little overwhelming for this big boy, and he can be nervous when meeting new people or experiencing unfamiliar surroundings. Give him a little patience, a soft voice, and a tasty treat, and you’ll start to see him come out of his shell. Once he’s comfortable, he’s an absolute sweetheart. And thanks to those signature Bulldog pouty lips, his face is pretty much impossible to resist.

Despite being a HUGE dog, Cubone is surprisingly gentle on leash and really enjoys getting one on one time away from the busy shelter environment. We were told he’s lived with kids and other animals, and that he’s house trained. He’s also kept an immaculate kennel here at FDHS, which is always a very good sign!

Cubone is a giant marshmallow disguised in a Bulldog body. He needs someone willing to give him the time and patience to show them what a wonderful boy he really is.
