Chickpea is a super sweet little gray and white cutie who has already overcome more in his short life than any kitten should have to.

A couple of weeks ago, we received a call about some kittens who needed help with their “goopy” eyes. When they arrived, it quickly became clear that Chickpea was in much worse shape than we had anticipated. His eye infection was so severe that we weren’t sure what the future would look like for this tiny guy, and he was absolutely covered in fleas that were quite literally eating him alive.

But Chickpea wasn’t giving up. After several baths, lots of delicious meals, medication and an even bigger helping of love – this little guy has made an incredible turnaround. He is finally on the up and up and ready to start looking for his forever family! And somehow, after everything he’s been through, Chickpea is still one of the sweetest little kittens you could ever meet. He absolutely loves attention, is super tolerant and has been nothing but loving with his caregivers.

One of Chickpea’s eyes may look a little different, but don’t let that fool you. He is a happy, playful kitten who is ready to live life just like any other healthy little guy. Chickpea has already fought incredibly hard to get here. Now he just needs someone to show him that all those hard days were leading him somewhere wonderful.
