Champagne is a GORGEOUS Retriever mix who came to FDHS on New Year’s Eve after her previous owner could no longer care for her. She is a big girl with big feelings and still very much a puppy at heart. Champagne is young, smart, and eager to learn.

We were told Champagne lived with other dogs in her previous home, and she has shown curiosity about making friends with other shelter pups. At this time, we do not know how she does with cats. She is still gaining confidence on leash and needs some gentle encouragement, but this girl will do just about anything for a snack. Training should be a breeze with her food motivation and willingness to learn.

Champagne does have some separation anxiety and may become destructive when left alone, so we strongly recommend crate training or providing a safe, secure space for her when she cannot be supervised. With structure, patience, and consistency, she has so much potential to be the BEST girl!
