Meet Barbeque, better known around here as Barb!

Barb is a big, hunky, handsome Australian Shepherd who is 100% living up to his name. He’s got a little extra meat on the bones right now, so he’s currently working on his dream bod with the help of our team.

But truthfully, Barb is already pretty dang perfect just the way he is. He has quickly become a HUGE fan favorite around FDHS thanks to his sweet, easygoing personality and impeccable manners. He keeps a spotless kennel, is polite on leash, behaves himself in the feed area. This guy is really the whole package and then some!

We were shocked when Barbeque came to us as a stray and was never reclaimed by his previous family. We estimate him to be around 7 to 8 years old, but without knowing his history, we don’t know if he has ever lived with children or cats. He has been polite but mostly indifferent toward the other dogs here at the shelter.

Barb is a low-key kind of guy. He’s looking for a comfy couch, a peaceful home, some *healthy* meals, and someone who will appreciate having such a good boy by their side for his golden years.
