Meet Big Red!

Big Red has really started to settle in and show us who he really is! He’s a big, strong willed boy with a soft side, a serious love for snacks, and a passion for being outdoors. Whether it’s stretching his legs in the yard or chewing on a peanut butter Kong, Red is happiest when he’s moving. An active home that can keep up with him would be a great fit.

He’s shown interest in other shelter dogs and seems open to making friends with proper introductions. Big Red has also met kids and has been friendly with them.

His leash manners still need some work. He’s strong and can be “enthusiastic” on walks, but he’s very treat motivated and eager to learn…so with consistency he has a lot of potential. He keeps his kennel fairly clean, which makes us think he likely has a good foundation with house manners.

Big Red is a sweet guy looking for someone who can give him guidance, structure, and plenty of chances to burn off energy.
