Winter is approximately 10 months old, approximately 100% adorable, and approximately… several different breeds?

We honestly have no idea what this fluffy little mystery girl is. She kind of looks like a bully breed. She kind of looks like a spaniel. She may have been assembled from the leftover parts bin at the Puppy Factory. Your guess is as good as ours. What we DO know is that Winter is ridiculously sweet and has very quickly become one of our kennel staff’s absolute favorites.

Winter recently transferred to FDHS from a much larger rescue for her second chance at life. She has a slightly silly little walk and likely didn’t receive the best nutrition during the first part of her life, but this girl has not let any of that slow her down. In fact, Winter is shockingly well mannered for a puppy. She picked up on our kennel cleaning routine almost immediately and does a fantastic job keeping her space clean throughout the day. She was calm and cooperative for her intake exam, and even tolerated her mini spa day like a total professional while we worked on washing away some urine staining and carefully removing a few mats.

She has also been very friendly with other animals and seems to prefer the calmer crowd. Winter is a gentle little goofball who is still figuring out how her legs are supposed to work, but she has already figured out the important stuff: be sweet, be good, and make everyone fall in love with you.

We are all in puppy love over here and know that Winter is one very special girl who deserves a family of her own.
