Meet Katrina!
This sweet girl was surrendered to us a few months ago after her owner had become very sick and could no longer care for her. Truthfully, a shelter environment is not ideal for Katrina. She’s very scared and stressed here, although we try our best to make it as cozy and home-like as possible. Katrina is a softer spirit and craves a quiet home that’s filled with peace and love.
Katrina is not a fan of loud, sudden noises and frequent change. She would thrive in a home with a single person or older couple that’s happy to just have a dog lying at their feet. She’s happiest when she has the tv on playing a familiar re-run and a soft bed to sprawl out on. Katrina has been pretty reactive with most of the other dogs here. We aren’t sure if she would be fine with other animals away from the shelter or if she’s pretty set on being the only animal in a home.
In her time here, she’s done excellent about keeping a clean space and would likely do just fine in a home. Despite her age, she can be strong on leash and tends to walk way better in a harness. She does just fine in a fenced yard as well and seems to have decent recall.

If you have a quieter home and a little extra love in your heart to spare, Katrina would love nothing more than someone to call her own.
