Hi there, I’m Ginger and I’m a nine year old Siberian Husky looking for a forever home!

Don’t let my age fool you. I still have plenty of pep in my paws without any of that wild puppy training. I lived in one home from eight weeks old, so I know all about being a polite house dog. My best friend Pepper came here with me and she’s been my constant companion for the last seven years. I would love if we could find a home together, but also am okay with flying solo.

I love routines, quiet times, and people who enjoy a more relaxing lifestyle. Very young children and really rambunctious dogs are not the best match for me, but I do well with other well mannered pups. I walk nicely on leash and I really enjoy sniffing around a fenced yard and exploring at my own speed.I have been nothing but sweet for the staff here at FDHS. I can be a little unsure of men at first, but I’ve warmed up quickly to the guys here. I have never lived with cats, but would likely adjust fine. I am used to being groomed regularly and keep a tidy kennel here at the shelter.

If you’re looking for the classic Husky chaos, you likely won’t find that with me! Other than the fur and the occasional singing, I don’t act like your typical Husky. I am looking for a home that will match my cool, calm and collected energy.
